Rotoiti Lodge Opened

(Photos: Bruce Giblin)

About 1000 people, many of whom had given countless hours of voluntary effort with pick and shovel, hammer and saw, paint brush and spanner, gazed with pride on what had been accomplished as the Minister of Lands and Forests (Mr Duncan Maclntyre) unlocked the main door of Rotoiti Lodge at the official opening ceremony last month. The beautiful building, a practical example of what can be achieved with the voluntary efforts and co-operation of two provinces, and the wholehearted enthusiasm of one man, is already in use educating the men and women of tomorrow to appreciate and know the outdoors.
