Rose Show

It was certainly a case of "roses, roses, all the way," in the Nelson Sports Hall last month, when the Horticultural Society held its annual summer show. Hundreds of blooms were exhibited. Feature of the show, however, was the bridal display organised by a city store in collaboration with Mesdames R. A. Thomas and R. A. Holmes, who made all the bouquets and sprays for the display. Champion rose this year was won by V. E. Blincoe (Femina) and champion iris, by Mrs Elsie Gausel (far right).
