The home of Mr and Mrs W. P. Thomas, on the Wakapuaka road, and close to Sunnybank, is a mere 64 years old and, therefore, something of an interloper in this series. But it is a commanding looking residence and has a beautiful setting. It was built about 1903 for the Dolamore family, but they did not occupy it for very long. It was then bought by Archdeacon Wright and upon his death by the Dobson family in 1911 and they lived in it until, three years ago.
