Nelson Beats Scottish Basketballers

The touring Scottish basketball team lost the first of its games in New Zealand, when It went down to Nelson 51-40 in the Y. M. C. A. gymnasium. Exceptionally heavy rain shortly before the game was to conmence at the Rutherford Park courts forced the players into the Y. M. C. A. Scotland scored the first goal, but Nelson drew level and from that time on didn't relinquish the lead.
