Here is a case of members of the public checking up on the police. The public, in this instance, are Primer 2 pupils of Nayland School who called in at the police station to get better acquainted with the law and to see how it works.

An eye-catching sight at the Motueka post office recently was this N.Z.B.C. Landrover and its whopping great hydraulic mast, topped by a television antenna. Evidently technical staff were testing field strengths.

That's rubbing it in a bit. A float (obviously not a Nelson one) in the shield procession.

Two members of the W. D. F. F. who had given outstanding service to the organisation were made members of honour last month. They were Mrs L. Hildyard (left), the first president of the Brightwater branch and who has served as provincial president and Dominion adviser, and Mrs E. Davidson, at right, a founder member of the Pakawau branch. With them is Nelson president, Mrs H. S. King.
