1 We Met Peggy on the promenade the other day with her nine-weeks-old baby. They were enjoying the autumn sunshine, and we hated to intrude.... but what fascinating subjects for our camera! Peggy was polite but disinterested.

2 She Thought we meant it when we said we wanted to shoot her! She looked at us with supplication in her eyes. Junior was too young to understand.

• 

3 Or So We Thought. But suddenly he sensed human business in the air (same as monkey business but the other way round). It drove him up the wall! It was all Mum could do to stop him climbing right out of the picture.

4 We Kept On clicking the shutter, but Junior wanted no more of it. "Take me home, Mama!" he shouted, and clambered aboard for a Quick getaway. And that was the last we ever saw of them. (Pictures by R. Logan.)
