Nelson In Abstract Form
Thirty-eight paintings of Nelson in the abstract were exhibited by Nelson artist, Irvine Major, in an exhibition at the Suter Art Gallery. The exhibition was given a preview showing to members of the Suter Art Society and if the paintings weren't sufficient inducement to attend, the society arranged for the serving of wine and cheese at the preview. For Mr Major the exhibition was a great success. At least 10 of the pictures were sold.
