St. John Ambulance Comps

St. John Ambulance cadets within the Nelson-Marlborough district competed for cadet and nursing awards at the annual competitions in Nelson last month. Contests, oral and practical, gave the cadets an opportunity of displaying their knowledge of first aid and home nursing. Patients, some of them exhibiting the most ghastly-looking wounds, were worked on under the eagle eyes of judges and in circumstances similar to those which could be encountered anywhere at any time.
