The "Miss New Zealand" " Show

Finalists in the Miss New Zealand contest (to be decided in Dunedin on June 5) were the feature attraction of the Miss New Zealand Show at the Majestic Theatre earlier this month. The show was as lively as ever, the stars, Howard Morrison, Jerry Merito, Paul Walden and John Hore being well backed by the Quintikis. We shot our pic of the girls on Church Hill.

Ten lovely lassies: Joy Crowley (Bay of Plenty), Judith Humphrey (Horowhenua), Emily Donald (Southland), Jaque Mundy (West Coast), Judith Baigent (Nelson), Jill Edwards (Taranaki), Nicolette Van Wijk (Auckland), Pamela McLeod (Canterbury), Leslie Hart (Otago), and Frances Probert (Wellington).

Jaque Mundy, a photographers' model, accompanied us when we took Miss Nelson to another location for a colour picture and we snapped Jaque on the other end of the camera for once, photographing Judith.
