Bank of New South Wales staff members in Nelson who were part of a 38-strong bank team which competed in sports against Australian bank teams recently. Yvonne Sharland and Kaye Farrell were in the basketball team, and Alan Simpson played table tennis.

Two of Nelson's lead ing sporting personalities announced their engagement recently. They were Judy Shanahan, Nelson tennis and badminton representative, and Russell ("Rusty") Adams, Nelson and Rivals Rugby representative. Judy is the daughter of Mr and Mrs J. Shanahan, 31 Weka Street, and Rusty is the son of Mrs M. N. and the late Mr W. L. Adams, 66 Tasman Street.
