Here and There

The activities of a DC3 aircraft over Nelson recently first caused some alarm, for it appeared to be on fire. Then the penny dropped. It was a DC3, sure enough, but it was top dressing- the first time so large a plane has carried out this operation in the province. The twin-engine aircraft had a capacity of five tons, compared with a half-ton carried by conventional aircraft. It is seen here dropping its last load over the property of Mr George Higgins, Wakatu.
