"For services rendered"-a floral presentation is made to Mrs Kent Longmate, former secretary of the Nelson Marching Centre, by Mrs G. McKenzie, Nelson chief judge. Mrs Longmate, formerly Margaret Jacques, was married recently and has left Nelson to live in Adelaide.

Congratulatory telegrams and flowers are held by Arthur and Lydia Watts, Nayland Rord, who celebrated their golden wedding anniversary recently. They were married in Weymouth, England, and have lived in New Zealand since 1921.

Only a few weeks after we took this pic of Miss Rose Hughes and her great-great-grandniece, Gayle Coleman, on the occasion of Miss Hughes' 90th birthday, Miss Hughes died. She had lived in Cambria Street for 29 years.

Dalgliesh, for 33½ years an inspector or ciectrical wiring with the Waimea Power Board, (second left), chats with Jack Sigglekow, Peter Beach and Laurie Francois at a farewell function arranged by the staff. Messrs Sigglekow, Dalgliesh and Francois joined the staff of the board when it was first set up.
