Nurses Graduate

For 14 nurses at Nelson Public Hospital, the evening of February 28 was a milestone in their lives. On that evening they received the tangible evidence that the days and nights of hard slogging along the road to trained nurse classification were worthwhile. The ceremony was held at the nurses' home. An unusual and commendable achievement for the hospital was that all 17 nurses who sat the examination, passed. Three of them were not present for the occasion. (Pix by Peter Cooper Studio).
