Marching Championships

Twenty-one teams from marching associations in the Seddon Shield district area competed at Trafalgar Park in the annual championships of the Nelson Centre marching championships. The outstanding display was that of Pacemakers, a Marlborough junior team. It won seven events. In the senior events, Glengowan won seven events and Kotare four, but neither marched as well on the day as they usually do.
