Nelson beaten at softball

The Wellington pitchers, C. Cheyne and New Zealand representative, Kevin Herlihy, hammered hone the nails in Nelson's coffin when the Wellington Colts met Nelson at softball at Tahonanui recently. Nelson's fielding, and the pitching of T. Hurunui, dismissed Wellington with efficiency, but the Nelson batters had no answer to the variety and pace of the Wellington pitchers. Wellington won by 4 runs to nil before a very large crowd.
