Voluntary Aids Receive Awards

Twenty-one members of the Red Cross Voluntary Aid Detachment were presented with certificates and medallions at a function in Nelson before Christmas. Another 21 who have qualified for these awards were unable to be present. Red Cross officials have been most heartened by the increasing interest in this facet of the society s work, especially since the detachment has been operating for only six months since coming out of recess. Present at the function was Miss Rachel Simpson, director of the society's detachment in New Zealand.
