Beachcombers' Ball

Even beachcombers like the conditions to be right. This was discovered by the Tahuna Surf Club when it held its beachcombers' ball on the beach. A small crowd, in comparison with other years, turned out to "go go" in the sand or watch and the ever-present threat of a downpour cast a dampener on spirits, all round.
