Successful Auction For Lions' Project

Bargain hunters in Nelson turned out in force one Saturday last month when the Lions held their "Petticoat Lane" auction to raise funds for playground equipment for the extension to the children's playground at Tahuna Beach. And they were not disappointed - the bargain hunters and the Lions. The public bought up a tremendous range of articles at sometimes ridiculously low prices and the Lions for their effort realised £700. We've covered this event fairly candidly, as our pix will show.
