Junior soccer awards
The soccer season ended last month with the presentations of trophies. For the juniors, an evening function was held at Stoke.

The Nelson Under-14 representative team won both the South Island major and minor associations' cups this year, and these were handed over,to the captain, Peter Finch, by the association patron, Mr Ken Black (other officials at right are Kevin Dempster, coach and secretary), Fred Harvey (selector), Ernie Marriott (manager), and Syd Guppy (association president).
