New Hall For Stoke Scouts and Guides

Scouts, Guides, Cubs and Brownies in Stoke, have a new home. For two years they have helped raise funds to build this fine new den at Stoke and now they are able to enjoy the fruits of their labours. Congratulations to a very live Stoke committee for building this fine civic amenity. The cost of the building and surrounds was about £4500, of which more than £1000 was raised by the project committee in bottle drives, etc. The hall contains 2100 sq ft of space and contrasts sharply with the old premises (left).

At a kitchen afternoon held to furnish the den Mrs Ada Pauling hands over her gift to Annabel Robins, while Rosanne Cole, Vivlenne Lelghs, Jeanette Hubber and Heather Birnie carry on opening parcels.
