"Speaking of Murder"

As we go to press the Repertory Society's latest production "Speaking of Murder?" is playing at the Theatre Royal. During the month "Photo News" spent some time at the theatre watching the speech falterings give way to fluency and the makeshift scenery blossom into that as seen by the audience. "There's no business like show business", so the saying goes, and we can vouch for the truth of this. Behind the scenes there is a world that the theatre audience does not penetrate. In these four pages, therefore, we take our readers behind the scenes. Unfortunately we cannot capture the atmosphere back stage. We can assure every reader that it is wonderful.
