Two Big Industries For Nelson

Preliminary work on the erection of what will be two of Nelson's biggest industries, the cotton mill and the apple and pear board's new fruit juice factory at Stoke, is now well advanced. At Annesbrook the major job at the moment is the excavating and levelling of the site for the cotton mill while at Nayland road, the concrete foundations have been poured and the steel trusses and stanchions are now being erected.
