Canterbury Came Close to Defeat

The Nelson representative cricket team which has again staved off four challenges for the Hawke Cup this season, ended the season with a highly successful match against Canterbury. With only three second innings wickets standing, Canterbury was still 106 behind Nelson's first innings total of 275 when the match ended an hour early. A fitting end to an excellent season.
