Russell Grace Golf Tournament

Winning 22 of its 30 games, the Thames Valley-Bay of Plenty team won the Russell Grace golf tournament at the Nelson golf course earlier this month. During the threeday tourney the team beat all four teams it met, including the Nelson-West Coast-Marlborough team. The local team did not do too well, finishing at the bottom of the ladder. Beautiful weather favoured the players and the course at Tahunanui was in excellent order for this major ladies' tourney.
