Garden Hats
Most women's hats serve only two purposes -to attract attention to the wearer and to protect her from the elements. But the hats displayed at a recent meeting of the Tahunanui Women's Institute were even more useful. They could be, and in fact some were, eaten. At the meeting opportunity was taken to farewell Mrs Pinckney, a member for 15 years, who is leaving Nelson to live in Auckland.

Sails On The Haven
Oyster, John Everett's beautiful keeler, made such a fine sight as she tacked on Nelson Haven that we just had to shoot her.
