Marching Titles

The Nelson provincial marching championships at Trafalgar Park attracted teams from Wellington and Christchurch, but major awards were won by local teams. Beautiful weather helped make the championship meeting a great suc cess.

Down In The Valley

A late afternoon sun highlights homes nestling in the valley formed by the hills to the east and the west of Nelson. The picture, taken from Princes Drive close to the observatory, shows the residential area around the Broads and Victory Square.
