A recent aerial photograph of the 170 acres of land reclaimed from the sea by the Nelson Harbour Board. This reclaimed land has allowed the natural expansion of industry in Nelson close to Nelson's overseas port and to the heart of the city. Already much of the land has been built on, and work is proceeding at the present time on the building of premises for Highways Construction just at the rear of Transport Nelson. Work will also commence shortly at the site of the new slipway on a new building for Nalder and Biddle. In the foreground is the site of the new fish factory and wharf.
