Last month, 600 pupils at Nelson Intermediate School were given instruction in the new system of manual resuscitation, the Sylvester Bosch method, by Mr Ray McConchie and Miss Stella Sweney, on behalf of the Royal Life Saving Society.

An item in the annual concert given by children attending the occupational centre of the Nelson Intellectually Handicapped Children Society, (It was our intention to cover this concert more widely but a camera fault prevented us from doing so).
