Christmas Party At Whakapuaka

Patients at Ngawhatu Hospital were the guests of the Wakapuaka branch of the W.D.F.F. at a Christmas party at the Wakapuaka Hall. For the occasion, members dressed in Japanese national costume provided by Mrs Edna Howard, of Wakapuaka. During the afternoon gifts were presented to the patients.

Surf At Tahunanui

Surf-board enthusiasts living in Nelson seldom have the conditions for this sport which exist at other beaches, for, on the whole, Tahunanui Beach is devoid of big breakers. During the recent northerly storms, however, there were breakers aplenty, and enthusiasts took advantage of the conditions.
