National Rose Convention

Rose growers, professional and amateur, from all parts of New Zealand, descended upon Nelson in a fragrant wave last month for the National Rose Society's 18th convention and show. About 300 rosarians attended the convention which was adjudged a tremendous success (even the weather was reasonable). While here the visitors had a good look at the more accessible parts of the province, especially the flower gardens. The big picture on this page and the two below were taken by the Peter Cooper Studio.
