College Boxing Titles

A very composed and seemingly slow-moving Russell Jeffs 13st 131b of him) did not have the appearance of a college heavyweight champion when he stepped into the ring as a contender for school championship at Nelson College, but oh, appearances can be deceptive. He was not particularly scientific, but his punches always seemed to find their mark and with battering ram power. He won by a t.k.o. The tournament this year was notable for some excellent bouts.
