Living High

One of the problems with tall buildings is that every now and again they require inspections and repairs, and very often these cannot be carried out without costly scaffolding. And that's where Stewart Archer comes in. He's a steeple-jack, one of only five in New Zealand, Recently he was called in to inspect the 112ft steeple of St Mary's Church, and that's how we got these pics. To get a new slant on the subject we took a trip up the steeple to photograph Mr Archer on his way up. That's the result (above).
