Red Cross Conference

For the first time in the history of the Red Cross Society in New Zealand, the annual conference was held in Nelson. Delegates from all parts of the country, and some observers from overseas, took part in the conference. A full agenda was dealt with, but delegates still found time for some light entertainment. This was provided by the Tin Hat Club which entertained a packed Theatre Royal to its last Anzac Day Revue.

The conference was opened by the Mayor, Mr Strawbridge, and with him are Mrs K. M. Emanuel, the Rev Father G. V. Daly (Dominion Chairman), Mrs Strawbrldge and Dr Emanuel.
