The Nelson Photo News

Our Cover

Of the many fine buildings erected in Nelson in recent years, none is more beautiful than the nurses' home at the public hospital. Built at a cost of £477,O00, it has a very pleasing exterior design and the interior can only be described as magnificent. It was designed with a view to obtaining the maximum amount of Nelson's famed sunshine and the angle at which it was built ensures that every room at some time or other during the day, is naturally lighted and heated.

BACK COVER: Sunsets over Nelson have to be seen to be believed. Words are inadequate at times to express the beauty of the colours as they are reflected in the waters of the harbour or small boat harbour, and the glowing clouds poised above the mountains. Fortunate the residents on the hills overlooking the harbour that such beautiful scenes as that depicted here are theirs for but a glance out of seaward—facing windows.
