Water Taxi For Kaiteriteri

Visitors to Kaiteriteri Beach this summer wiil have the chance of seeing something of the beautiful Golden Coast shoreline from the room,y comfortable, enclosed cabin of a 26 ft 5 in jet boat. The craft, named the "Golden Sands", is powered by a 120 h. p. diesel engine which, it is believed, will give it a 17-knot cruising speed. By using a jet engine the "water taxi" will be able to work in shallow bays for its draught is only 17 inches. The vessel was built by Mr Frank Nicholls, of Main Road, Stoke, for Mr Athol Rowling.
