Recently arrived from Palmerston North is the family of Bill and Flo Carr - William, Graeme, Stephen, and Lynette. Bill takes over the post of detective with the Nelson C. I. B., just vacated by Neil Dennehy, who with his family (below left) has been transferred to Wellington on promotion to sergeant in the uniform branch. Neal is with his wife, Mary, and children Mandy, Michael, and Joseph.

Darryl Heeney, his wife Fay and daughter Amanda, have arrived in Nelson where Darryl will join the staff of the Commercial Bank of Australia. The family comes from Christchurch.
