Over Cover

The coming of winter is heralded by a shedding of leaves, but, as if to compensate for this reduction of colour and beauty, nature seems to enhance the delicate fronds of the toi toi with a charm of their own. They are seen to good effect here, reflected in the placid waters of the Maitai River by the Bridge street bridge.

Our back cover should be recognisable to ail who have ever visited the Golden Bay. The Tarakohe cement works are a landmark inviting photographs. At the wharf, a coal ship is discharging.
