Our Cover

Gallipoli, April 25, 19l5. A place and a date well-known to Australians and New Zealanders. It was on that day that the name Anzac was born. The first landings in the Gallipoli campaign were made at Sedd-El-Barr by British troops from the old collier River Clyde, which was run on to the shore. It was planned to use her as a type of boat bridge. Our cover is a copy of a painting of the landing from the River Clyde - a landing as bloody as any ever made.
