The new town premises of veterinarian, Mr Peter Malone, being erected in Rutherford Street, Veterinary and animal foods and supplies will be sold from this building, but the treatment of animals for major complaints will be carried out at Stoke, as at present.

Briscoe and Co will soon be shifting into this new building on the reclamation. It will be used as a hardware and merchandise warehouse.

Work is already under way on the new hospital block at Whareama Home, Stoke, for the building of which Nelson Lions recently raised over £4000.
