New Assembly Hall Opened

For pupils of Nelson College for Girls, the days of having to squat on the floor of the college gymnasium during assembly or for drama presentations are no more. For many years the college had to endure the discomfort and inconveniences of the gymnasium, but with the opening of the college's new assembly hall block it has a building which will fulfil the many needs of a modern education centre. As well as the main hall, the building includes administrative offices, three classrooms, music and dressing rooms and a canteen. The building was officially opened by the Minister of Education (Mr Kinsella).
