Riders Had Their Ups And Downs

Steer and bronc riding is not for the faint of heart. No sirree! This was amply demonstrated at the rodeo held on Takaka Hill recently when competitors from many parts of New Zealand and Australia matched skill and strength with cattle and horses. On the day, the stock emerged the winners by a narrow margin, but the contests between man and beast kept a large crowd enthralled. The rodeo is to be an annual event and we're sure that it will gain tremendously in popularity.
