The road from Pohara Beach past Tarakohe to Tata Beach runs alongside a coastline as rugged as anywhere in New Zealand. Combined with bush and sea it has a beauty all of its own. The end of the Cement Company's wharf can just be seen at right. (Peter Cooper Studio).
