Nelson Savings Bank Opened
Nelson joined the ranks of several other New Zealand cities when, in January, the Nelson Savings Bank, a division of the Canterbury Savings Bank, was opened in Hardy Street, When this issue went to press, more than £75,000 had been deposited. These pix of the opening of the bank were taken by Peter Cooper Studio.
