Two Day Trots
After many weeks of brilliant sunshine the weather took a turn for the worse just as the Nelson Trotting Club staged its two-day meeting. For many, frequent trips behind the tote dispelled the gloom of the skies, but for many others the miserable weather was matched by miserable luck. The club's new policy of restricting privileges paid off, gate takings showing an increase of £300, Big fields ensured excellent racing and helped to add to punters' confusion.
