Indians Win Hockey With Late Rally

The tremendous pressure applied by the Indian Olympic hockey team in the last 10 minutes was more than the Nelson representative team could withstand and what appeared likely at one stage to be a win for Nelson was turned into a 4-2 defeat. Nelson played an inspired game to keep a slender lead until the dying stages when the slick stickwork and positional play of the Indians proved too much.

Hero of the Nelson team was undoubtedly Alan Lewis, the goalie, whose brilliant keeping repulsed many Indian attacks and saved his side countless goals.
