Bays Rugby Reunion

The day the Seddon Shield departed from the Bays, former representative of the Golden Bay-Motueka. Rugby Union held a reunion at Riwaka. Pics of some of those attending were supplied to us by John R. Sharp.

Members of the 1923 team; back, Rusty Holyoake (Riwaka), Bob Scott (Takaka), Arty Emms (Takaka), Jack Holyoake (Motueka); front, Fred Hamilton (Riwaka), Rolly Papps (Takaka).

The 1929 team was represented by (back) Vern Drummond (Nelson), Ken Jenkins and Max Stevens (Riwaka) and front, Cal James and Wilf Bradley (Riwaka) and Bob Scott again.
