Kindred Clubs' Raid
A raid on the Nelson Savage Club was carried out by members of north-western kindred clubs last month. It was the first group raid made on Nelson. Among those present were the Dominion president and secretary of the Savage Club, Steve Lancaster (Timaru) and Neville Dawe (Timaru).
Among the V. I. S's (Very Important Savages) present were (back), Vic McKeague (Christchurch), Ken Salt (Waikato Orphans), Dave Neighbours (Nelson president), Bill Downes, Len Abbie (Greymouth): seated, Nev Dawe, Steve Lancaster and Arthur Hodgson (Westport).
