Maori Cultural Festival

Maori action songs, poi solos, hakas and colourful Maori costumes, in fact all types of entertainment normally associated with the Maori, provided seasonal workers at Motueka with an evening to remember when the Maori Cultural Festival was held at Motueka last month. Present at the function were such notable persons connected with Maori welfare as Colonel Charles Bennett, assistant secretary for Maori Affairs, Father F. Wall, Maori Missioner, and Mr W. Herewini, controller of Maori welfare for New Zealand.
