Hundreds attended the picnic race meeting at Richmond, another event held in brilliant sunshine. An equalisator tote was operated, and with pony events and the racing there was all the excitement of a major race meeting. At left is a race in progress and above the variety of expressions as the horses pass the post is a story in itself. (pictures by Peter Cooper Studio)
