Open Air Concerts Were Tremendous Success

The one criticism that could not be levelled at this year's holiday carnival' was the lack of family entertainment. On the back beach at Tahuna, that great vaudevillian, The Great Benyon, taxed seating, standing and car-park room to capacity practically every time he staged his show. And it was all free. "Ben", as he became known to the thousands of children who watched his amazing feats of sleight of hand and wizardry, contributed in no small way towards the success of the carnival.
